The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of heroes who will split off from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Combat Party

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each member has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the group enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Explorers and Planners tables.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
